This is was the first official book signing for Casey and the Crawfish, a book Casey worked on and edited with author Samantha Junius. Crawfish is a favorite in New Orleans. Casey and her family are having a traditional New Orleans Crawfish Boil. They do this every year, but this one is special. Beautifully You, presented by Jasmine Brown, brought together 20 young women between 16 & 24 years old. They were each assigned an ambassador, shopped in a closet of donated clothes, created vision boards and were led in a Girl Power discussion by Casey Ferrand. They discussed topics like bullying, overcoming life challenges and sex in relationships.
BAMM Cares Benefit

The Inaugural BAMM Cares benefit fundraiser was the official kick-off to the city of New Orleans’ MLK holiday festivities. Hosted at the Arts Center on January, 11, the event honored local journalists who’ve contributed to their community. There was also a panel discussion about “Blacks and the Media,” – moderated by WBOK’s Oliver Thomas. Proceeds from the event went to benefit the New Orleans Association of Black Journalists scholarship fund. Take a look at this video produced by Bamm Agency to the highlights from the event.
Purpose & Pizza

Casey was invited to be a guest speaker at young women during Purpose & Pizza at the Daughter of the King House in Algiers. The group ate pizza and discussed God's purpose at their lives. Casey shared her journey to finding her purpose and encouraged the young ladies to follow their passion, set goals and love themselves.

Casey Ferrand was invited be sit on a panel hosted by Black Market Events at the Gather Gallery. The women shared positive affirmations and discussed their path to becoming a boss in their industry. Casey shared her journey of leaving a full-time position as a news reporter and re-defining herself and making her own path as a journalist, actress and event host. Purple Purpose Gala

Casey Ferrand served at the emcee for the 4th annual Purpose Gala hosted by The Scott Eli Jackson Foundation. the event honors those who succumbed to pancreatic cancer, shows support for those currently fighting the disease, and celebrate survivors. The gala featured live entertainment, local cuisine, and a balloon release in memory of all who have lost their lives to pancreatic cancer. The 2018 Legacy Award was received by the family of to Mr. Rudy Lombard. The Purple Purpose Gala is a major fundraising event for the foundation, and donations received support local families battling pancreatic cancer.
